  • 200 ml apple vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • Zest of orange
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 wheel brie (200250 g)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Poach the Pear: Combine apple vinegar, brown sugar, orange zest, cinnamon stick in a pot. Add the peeled pear and simmer for 20-25 minutes until tender. Let cool in the liquid.
  2. Prepare the Brie: Slice the brie horizontally and place the poached pear on the bottom half. Top with the other half of brie.
  3. Wrap in Pastry: Roll out puff pastry, wrap around the brie and pear, seal edges well, and place seam-side down on parchment paper.
  4. Bake: Preheat oven to 200°C (392°F). Brush with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
