  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • Optional: Sea salt and melted chocolate for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  3. Place mini pretzels in a large bowl and set aside.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt, stirring constantly until boiling.
  5. Boil without stirring for 3 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda (watch for foaming).
  6. Pour the hot toffee mixture over the pretzels and toss until evenly coated.
  7. Spread the coated pretzels on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
